The most recent planet that we observed during the day was Venus on Mar 5
(http://observers.org/tac.mailing.list/2008/Mar/0144.html) when it was close to
the crescent Moon. Once you find it it was easily visible with binoculars. My
wife could see it with naked eyes, but I could not (I have around 2 diopters
myopia and my glasses are a bit below that).
We've seen at broad daylight Venus, Jupiter (or was it Saturn?), and also comet
McNaught (http://observers.org/tac.mailing.list/2007/Jan/0353.html) - all with
binoculars.
Regards,
- Alex
