Yeah, back when I was still a bit of a newbie and excited about all kinds of equipment, I bought a Meade 6" reflector with an eq mount, I think it was a model number 628, with a bunch of Meade research grade eyepieces for $49.?I was at work and Sterngold picked it up for me so I wouldn't lose it to someone who could get there sooner. ?I already had eyepieces I liked ,and the same day sold one of the eyepieces for $50.? In effect a free scope.? It had a killer mirror.? Had it up at the Peak once and everyone was amazed at the views of Saturn. In the end I sold everthing, but it ended up funding LOTS of other equipment.? Now I kinda wish I'd kept it. :-)
