Right. GSSP is a continuation of a TAC event that been taking place annually starting in 1994.
What is really great to see is all the first timers who are signing up. There has been an effort
to encourage more beginners to see what a real dark sky is like. Look at the percentages of first
timer attendees on the poll:

There have also been some "big guns" signing up... several scopes in the 25" range, with a 28" and
30" as well. Imagine how amazing it is going to be for newbies to look though those (let alone,
just the neked eye views!)...
Should be a fun mix of "awe-struck" first timers and dark sky regulars....
