Yes. I live in La Honda, and I'm familiar with all the beaches. South of
Half Moon Bay a few miles it gets real dark, but you have that deep, wet marine
layer to look through.
If you're interested in viewing, get above the marine layer, anywhere except
some saddle of the mountains where wet air can funnel over. Skyline Drive
when the weather warms up, or Montebello OSP are good bets.
>From Skyline you can get good views of Mercury sometimes.
