Ocean beaches are generally not good for observing because there is usually
water vapor and droplets in the air from breaking waves. Its better to be
either on a bluff or a little inland. Having said that, the lighthouse area
and beaches just north of Santa Cruz ain't bad.

Subject: [TAC] Beaches along highway 1
Anyone observed from a beach along highway 1 say near half moon bay or along
the penninsula? Are there places where you can just park, walk to the sandy
shores and see the stars hovering over the waves?
