Mark Johnston toasted:
To a gentleman and one of the privileged few who has left behind
immortal works to inspire and in some cases guide those that follow in
his path.

Here, here.

He always stretched my imagination through great storytelling mixed
with marvelous leaps of the mind. I recently re-read Childhood's End,
and found it still to hold up well. Entertaining and provocative as
it was when I read it over 35 years ago. Clarke recorded a video
message to the public last December, which is available on You Tube,
which I watched this morning. Thoughtful, optimistic, humble. A
wonderful human being.
