SkyView Pro mount with push-to 'IntelliScope' system featuring dual-encoders. Also has dual drive motors $375. (Details below)
Orion SkyView Deluxe 8" (800mm focal len, f/4) Newtonian $195 (Details below)
(The scope is on the heavy side for this mount (scope 18lb) so you would get a some shaking if combined)
Details on SkyView Pro: This has the push-to Intelliscope dual-encoders as well as 2 drives and a total of 2 7lb weights It will do RA tracking and has a manual hand controller for RA/Dec motor control. This is not a goto but once alligned you push it to a target or let it 'lead' you to a target by showing which way to 'push-to'. No polar scope. The mount alone in todays catalog is $369 (plus tax)! Price for Intelliscope/encoders and drives is at least another $200.
Details on 8" Newt. First off it is priced to move. This is the scope that opened it up for me and hooked me for good. This has a 1.25" focuser and you need to be sure to take the time to collimate it due to it's sensitivity with such a short focal length. The mounting has a 'Skyview' or 'Atlas' style dovetail. It has a Telrad mounting plate included (no Telrad as I move that around) but a 6x30 finder that was standard can be used if desired. A 32mm plossl gave me 2 full degrees which I really miss with my SCT these days.
Contact me off-list for more info please.
