This is the last call for Orion for me for this season. It is at transit as the sun sets and it wanes into the urban muck. I made a fortuitous error when shooting the images last night: I inadvertantly shot them 2x2 binned. I noticed it after the first image but decided to charge ahead since it was still pretty faint and it was very obvious I wasn't going to get many exposures due to the sky position and my very large field of view. So the binning let me get more signal into the image trading off resolution. My image scale is something like 106 arc-sec/pixel at capture used in this configuration.
I used the 6x7 lens setup with the "Fisheye" 35mm f/4.5 lens operated at f/8. I had it on the IMG6303E camera and used a Baader Planetarium Halpha filter, a very nice bargain for about $300 but I digress
All 5 subexposures were 20 minutes and were binned 2x2.
Shooting sky flats is impossible with this lens due to gradients. I need to make a flat box. So no flats were used I hate to say.
