hmmm. fabric stores have a material called 'blackout cloth' which
is used behind drapes to allow you to darken a room. I believe it comes
in both dark and white varieties. I wonder if that wouldn't be good to
use? having a white side out could be advantageous in keeping the
scope cooler when its outside in the sunlight, as well as making it
easier to see on a dark field at night so folks don't stumble into it.
