OI: Dinosaur Point tonight, Sunday March 2, 2008 (plus rules reminder)

Rangers have been notified of observing at Dinosaur Point tonight. I am a Gatekeeper and plan to be there. All TAC are invited.

We are approaching the windy season at Dino. It was breezy yesterday afternoon, but the wind died at sunset. Winds are averaging about 11mph now, but I'm expecting (hoping) winds will die as they did yesterday. CSC (by any name) looks good.

Rules Reminder:
Normally, night time access is restricted behind a locked gate - Gatekeepers must escort visitors out.

Currently, the Rangers are keeping the gate open and unlocked at night. Consequently, for the time being, Gatekeepers don't have to be present for you to observe there. However, if the Gatekeepers don't notify the rangers ahead of time, anyone found at Dino at night will be KICKED OUT. Please don't go to Dino at night unless a Gatekeeper posts that the rangers have been notified.

Other rules remain in effect:
1. Access to Dinosaur Point after dark is by reservation only.
2. Only Gatekeepers can call the rangers and make reservations.
3. Leave the park as you found it. Make sure your area is clean.
4. Absolutely no boats allowed in the parking lot after dark.
5. No overnight camping.
6. If you bring guests, you must ensure that they follow all rules.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Albert
