i'm wondering if there's anyone on this list, *preferably in San Francisco*,
who has a solid understanding of MaxDSLR, MaximDL, DeepSky or any other
similar app, and would be available to impart some of his or her knowledge.
i would of course be more than happy to pay for this instruction.
i'm not much of the learning-by-manual or tutorial sort, and am looking for
someone to bring me up to speed on the practical aspects of any or all of
these programs, i.e., capturing, stacking/processing, guiding, etc. once i
can find my way around, i can figure out the finer points.
i have a celestron cge1400xlt and i'll be using my nikon d80 for imaging, at
least for the time being until i can justify laying out the squids for a
high-end CCD. i'm not a computer/tech retard by any stretch and i have a
fairly solid background in digital photography, so i'd most likely absorb
things quickly and wouldn't require a whole lot of anyone's valuable time. i
am however completely new to astrophotography.
i know pleas like this one tend to get huffed at alot, so please pardon the
intrusion.
if any one is interested and available, please email me off-list at
skottreader at gmail dot com.
thank you.
