Okay to be more precise, I was there night of the 14th. At 37N, 121W, at
444AM on the morning of the 15h, the sun was -18.2 degrees below the
horizon and the moon a measly 3 degrees up (behind some hills/trees). As
far as I know, all forest fires were gone that evening. There was fog
earlier in the night but its pretty clear when its there and when its
gone (as in you can't see a single star when the fog is around).
Could local lights form Big Sur campsites be brightening the sky?
