We will be having a star party tonight, Friday, October 27th,
starting at 7:00 PM at the Corde Madera School in Portola Valley.
This is part of Project Astro.
We will have a total of up to 80 fifth grade students, plus parents
and siblings, perhaps 150 people total. so we need about 10 scopes if
we can get them. The students will be among the best and brightest
you will ever encounter, so expect lots of good tough questions and a
lot of enthusiasm. I think this will be a very rewarding experience
for anyone who attends. The site is very dark - almost as good as
Montebello preserve, and is up the hills from Menlo Park by several
miles.
We are still a little short of scopes for this event. We need more
volunteers. Please contact me if you can attend and i will send
detailed directions.
