Herb is a mover-shaker, peddler of astroware. I am sure there are exceptions, but he has always done me right on any business transaction. The world is full of ego, bravado and rudeness. Why would anyone pay a half million dollars for a Berri Bonds baseball?

After the bird flu pandemic it won't matter anyway.

Now if you want to talk bravado, ego,and rudness, let us pause and ponder a certain resident in the white house.

Suffice to say there are many items in this world priced far beyond their 'worth' to 99.9% of the world's population. There are works of 'art' I'd not pay $10 for much less $100k. But if money was no object, I see no reason why I, were I collector of rare and fine finderscopes, would not buy Herb's scope. If I had a $100k to plop on a finderscope, I'd wager I also had the ware-with-all (or is that where-with-all? or wear-with-all?) to pony up to have my pilot fly me there to inspect it, and fly Roland there to certify it's authenticity, and a buy the land for the observatory, and pay the contractor to build it. Well, you get the point.

I must say, even in writing, every word out of his hands rubs me the wrong way. I have never ever met him, but his ego , bravado, and rudeness seems boundless and has for years. However you can not really know via an electronic format. I suppose some think that of me. ;)
