I hold it in my mouth, but it's not convenient. It IS nice that the
back is closed....
The light that was easy to hold in one's mouth was the StarLight,
which I bought many years ago. It had an oval case, and the maker told
me it was deliberate -- the world's first orthodontically-designed
flashlight. Unhappily it fell apart after some 20 years of use, and the
new ones are rectangular and red-only.
I prefer the red and white (mine is from Orion). Yes, the white is
too bright, but if I'm looking for a lost nut, I need the photons.
Oddly, the bright white draws the same current as the faint red, for the
same setting of the pot.
TOP: Orion two-way flashlight (function; battery life, 2mA)
DEAD: Orion two-way flashlight (flimsy internally, hard to change
battery, started flickering and I have not found why.
TOP: Optical Craftsman "Discoverer" 8 inch Newtonian
TOP: Coulter 4.25" f/4 telescope
TOP: 28mm Pretoria eyepiece, designed for f/4 mirror, ideal
with above scope
DEAD: any eyepiece that has the eye lens recessed so that I can't
get close enough to see the full field. That include most
of them. See old Meade "Research-Grade" Orthoscopics for
ideal design.
