Top Dogs and Dead Dogs

Here's my vote on a few.

Top Dog. Galaxy Optics primary mirrors. I've observed extensively with
two now, a 14.5" and an 18". I have been thoroughly pleased with their
performance.

Dead Dog: A 10" f/4.5 Coulter mirror that is maybe 0.50" thick (sorry to
my buddy I bought it from). I don't know if it just deforms because it is
so skinny, or if it is astigmatic, or just rough. I put it away years ago,
and don't want to offend any more photons with it. That said, I also have
a 10" f/5.6 Coulter mirror that must have been figured with cream cheese,
its so sweet. I guess Coulter is a Questionable Dog.

Dead Dog: 1.25" Meade 4mm eyepiece. How is *anyone* supposed to look
through that pinhole!

Dead Dog: The A.L. Globular Cluster list. I got a peek at it last
weekend. Yeah, lots of cool stuff on it, but wow, a lot of stuff that
would challenge SuperSteve!

Dead Dog: Starbound Observing Chair. Yeah, its comfortable, and yeah, it
works okay. But it is SOOO heavy! I hate to lug it out. There's better
on the market now - lightweight and better design.

Dead Dog: Gotta do this. The Orion red flashlight. Looks an awful lot
like Rigel's in form, fit and function. If I didn't think Orion was such a
wonderful company, I might suspect.... well, never mind.
