Top Dogs and Dead Dogs

Jane's question about AP being toppled from their perch (which I have no
opinion on) got me wondering...

It might be fun to do a survey...

Top Dogs - those items and their manufacturers that are simply great
quality and value.

Dead Dogs - crap you've bought that is, well, crap.

Topics might inlclude:

Mirrors
Spiders
Mirror cells
Reflecting telescopes (in categories, i.e. < $1000, $1000-$5000, > $5000)
Refracting telescopes (in categories, i.e. < $1000, $1000-$5000, > $5000)
Compound telescopes (in categories, i.e. < $1000, $1000-$5000, > $5000)
1.25" oculars
2.00" oculars
Narrow band filters
Books
Charts
Flashlights
Cases
Observing Chairs
Barlows
Mounts

Others?

Anyone want to start on this? Good newbie info, and sure to lead to some
"lively" discussion (generally missing on TAC these days)...
