Thanks for the suggestion Paul.
Local motel is one option I have considered. However I am looking to
have a more on site experiance.
I am going to be a volunteer for SSP and I also plan on observing until
the wee hours every night, until I can not keep my eyes open any
longer. It would be nice to then walk just a few feet to a relatively
comfortable bed to pass out and then get up the next day and do it
again. Somehow having to get in a car and drive somewhere at the end of
each night would just not be quite the same.
I enjoy camping with my telescope but it is usally for 2 nights at
most. So five nights in a tent is not out of the quesiton for me just a
bit long. So I thought it might be fun to share the experience of SSP
with some fellow astronomers in the relative comfort of an RV. A great
way to meet some new friends and have a comfortable place to stay, in
the right location, and at a price less than a motel.
So are there any others out there that share my sentiments. If so
please contact me. It will be a blast!
