Careful study will reveal that I wasn't talking about
the orbit of the Sun relative to the galaxy, but about
our solar system's plane, the ecliptic, relative to
the galactic plane. Should have been even more
explicit.
Now I was wrong about "almost 90 degrees." Still, with
galactic south at -29 dec, the southern hemisphere
gets serious dibs in terms of looking toward the
center of the galaxy. And there are lots of goodies in
that direction.
