This is a reminder for the public Star Party at Pacheco State Park tomorrow,
Saturday, April 16.
The star party has been advertised a lot more than in the past - in local
newspapers, in the California State Parks Newsletter, at the Wildflower Day
two weeks ago, and flyers sent to over a thousand local fourth graders.
The official time for the public is from sunset to 11PM. If you would like
to participate, please show up. You can arrive any time before sunset. You
don't have to pay the usual entrance fee. We typically set up by the picnic
tables toward the rear of the large parking area. You are welcome to stay
after the public event to continue observing.
Pacheco State Park is east out of Gilroy, at the top of Pacheco Pass along
HWY 152 (the same turn-off as Dinosaur Point). A few hundred years from HWY
152, turn right onto the gravel road leading to the parking lot.
The weather forecast looks promising.
Hope to see you there.
Albert
