Saw this announcement today:

Breaking News: Verilax, a small company out of Woodinville, Washington has just announced the flagship model in their new line of "planet killer" telescopes - an F/7 150mm (6") triplet Apochromat, capable of an amazing 120x per inch of crystal clear resolution and all for the astounding price of just $699.95.

This is just what amateur astronomers have been hoping for - American made, hand figured optics, CNC machining, "surgeon's touch" focuser, 11 baffles, and sliding dew shield, harboring a perfectly matched triplet lens system of exotic elements that have been hard coated to eliminate virtually all spurious reflections. Jimmy Considine, CEO of Verilax, Inc, has stated, "The Strehl numbers on this baby are so extraordinary, we are not even going to publish them for fear of media reprisals by disbelieving competitors and stunned amateurs."

At this point, the company is already at the field testing stage but, apparently, early results are already deep in the WOWIE ZOWIE category.

Team AstroMart has been promised a "first-look" in the coming weeks and we will definitely keep you posted.
