Not sure, but I did not that the pdf says for "ultra-long" exposures it can use film.

rumor on the street is that it uses a kodak KAF type sensor with 9x9 micron pixels.
 
it has a 40gbyte storage in the camera and you can even use film (!) with it by adding the optional film back.
