I'm finding Ken's calculator a bit conservative as far as threshold mag.
Limits vs. aperture size goes. It calculates a 255mm aperture scope
producing a mag. 13.8 threshold limit. My experience up at FP with my 255mm
Mak-Cass is about 14.2 or a bit better. Also, it calculates my 508mm
Starmaster Dob at mag. 15.3 threshold limit. I can confirm mag. 16 at FP and
16.5 up at Lassen.
