a) it's not 24 hours notice, it's 48. The TAC Observing Sites page as cited has it right.
b) the links you mention, Mr Natscher my good friend, don't go to any e-mail addresses. The rangers' addresses are in that note from this morning, and the earlier one.
c) Bruce, I think the same thing but the rangers don't. They want to hear from each person. And they come up from SJB with a list of who called and e-mailed in, checking vehicles. They really are still working off the trauma of the Mars opposition, when the mountain was a zoo.
Like Tips says, they're the rangers. A little courtesy gives us gate mojo.
