Phil,

Exactly. Before moving out to CA I used to observe regularly. Everything was organized and stored efficiently in one location. Now it isn't that way anymore. The move complicated matters since things got put in various moving boxes--I have still have not found my Desert Storm Cover. Several weeks ago I picked up some shelving units at Home Depot and have used them as a central storage location. If the weather ever breaks I don't want to miss an observing session because I can't find a needed piece of equipment.

Hi All,

In preparing to go observing (imaging actually) at Fremont Peak tomorrow I started rounding up all of my gear to load into the car. OTA, mount, cold weather clothing, CCD camera, laptop, table, chair, thermos bottle, Radio Shack thermometer/hygrometer, dew guards, heaters, and on and on. And I noticed that all of this stuff seems to have moved out from it's normally centralized location. In fact, I it seems to me that the longer I go between observing runs (because of lousy weather, for instance) the more spread out my gear tends to get. Sort of like a sand castle at the beach during a rain storm.

Just ramblin'
