TAC has new list owners.
Mark Wagner has been the inspiration and gentle guiding hand of the TAC
list since he started it six years ago. Since then, he and Steve
Sergeant, with a little help from others, has built TAC and its website
http://www.observers.org into a World Class amateur astronomy resource,
while still keeping a local SF Bay Area flavor. I think all of us can
agree that the sky would not be the same without his efforts.
To remind us what TAC is here's the only "official" statement of about
what TAC is:
" TAC was established to:
-- Facilitate active observational amateur astronomers observing
together.
-- Meet others "in the field" with similar interests and dedication.
-- Provide newcomers access to enthusiastic amateurs' equipment and
experience.
-- Do all of the above in dark sky settings where learning and enjoyment
are maximized. "
