Alan Adler and I carefully evaluated Leonard Tramiel's new Johnsonian
equatorial platform and liked it a lot. It
tracked smoothly and accurately and is very easy to use. It was a pleasure
to observe M5 at 500x through Leonard's
12.5" f/5 three-strut ultralight. Johnson's latest fine-stepping motors
appear to have eliminated an earlier vibration/stepping
problem.
Alan checked with Sam Johnson to see if we could get a discount on a group
purchase. He offered 10% discount on five units or 15% on ten units. Alan
and I are in, so we need at least three more takers.
