This reminds me of something. Yesterday I took a wrong turn
at Gamma Cyg and accidentally bumped into NGC6910 (sparse OC,
20h23m06s, +40°47'00"). At 40x it is a real piece of jewelry -
not many stars, not bright ones, but it is very nice - looks
like a fine diamond necklace. At higher magnifications the
effect is lost.
Those unexpected discoveries are major part of the experience
for me. Probably I'm taking too-many wrong turns, but it's
worth the effort. Usually.
