    Artistic license ;-)
    I've done the same thing on the Pleiades with my TV-85 -- for some targets,
    the diffraction spikes add a certain je-ne-sais-quoi appeal to the image.
    Mine was done with two wooden kebab sticks crossed and taped in front of the
    little refractor:
