The "top" part of the parking lot dries out pretty fast. Although the
ground will be damp and dewing can rear its head. The "bottom" near the
fence can collect water and be muddy. The parking lot is well packed but
does have an overlay of dirt.
Around here, we got our 3/4 inch in about 15 min. I have never seen it
rain so hard in CA. Then sleet followed turning the ground white. It
took an hour to calm down the dogs to the point they would get more than 6
inches away from you.
The road outside the house was running half full of water.
