Totally agree with you Bruce. The concern here is and should be that this POTENTIAL project could jeopardize the Lick Observatory. But knowing what we know now and beforehand (as this project has not been introduced onto any bill as a rider YET or as a stand alone bill YET), I think we can sufficiently mobilize as a group of concerned citizens.
While I'm am not in the east SJ or Central Valley district, it would be good for those of us who wish to do so, to learn all we can about this proposal, and see what kind of options can be presented. Of course this proposed project affects not just the commuter, but everyone on many different levels, so presenting an intelligent, well thought-out rebuttal with options is crucial.
