Well.....if they kept the route to the north of the peak, and required the
commuters to keep their headlights off during dark hours, it just might
turn out to be a boon for the local economy (especially the auto repair
business)....... ;-)

A Bay Area politician is proposing building a 6-lane freeway extension over
Mt. Hamilton to ease the traffic from Livermore to San Jose. It would pass
