Probably OT: Software Program Database Accuracy

As I hunt for the dimmer objects on the Herschel 2500 list, I've had a
growing irritation with the accuracy of _TheSky's_ object positions and
information database. I sent a message to Software Bisque, complaining
about their database catalogs, wanting to know when a database update
was planned. I received a quick reply from Daniel Bisque, asking me
with which catalogs, specifically, was I having trouble. I responded
with the NGC & IC catalogs, as these are the only ones on which I've
focused any real attention.

Although I'm still awaiting a formal reply on my "update" question, and
know Version-6 of _TheSky_ is planned, I'm curious about the accuracy of
other software programs' catalogs. So for those of you who use
Megastar, Deepsky 200x, Starry Night, etc., how accurate are their NGC &
IC catalog entries?
