Hi, Mark,
Thanks for posting the reports on the Houge Park star parties.
I got there a bit late. There were plenty of scopes set up, so I
talked to people and answered questions.
There was a writer there who was gathering information for a
free-lance article about amateur astronomy (didn't get his name). I
talked about SJAA and the various activities, but then told him that he
has to also investigate TAC, as it's a very effective approach, very
different from traditional clubs, able to co-ordinate activities using
e-mail and a web site. I didn't go into lots of detail. He'd seen the
TAC web site and said he'd follow up on it.
I was walking around in my big coat, annoyed at the "cold", until I
got home and read a note from one of my sisters in Wisconsin. She
reported 5 below zero and windy.
Clear Skies!
