Some of the discussion and comments about Fremont Peak rangers and their
policies makes me uncomfortable. Some comments are inappropriate for this
open venue. In addition, this discussion emerges periodically, mostly
without resolution. On the other hand, I applaud Peter's recent efforts to
get the facts and report them to TAC.
I have the following recommendations:
1. One person on TAC step forward to become its liaison with Fremont Peak.
2. Those who have questions, concerns, and constructive criticism should
send them to the liaison by private e-mail.
3. The liaison will see that the final rules are posted on TAC
4. The liaison will continue to monitor changes and update the TAC website
as appropriate.
This approach has worked well at other sites and keeps potentially
inflammatory discussion to a minimum.
