Rather than yield to temptation - and the thrill of the inevitable 700+
mph traffic ticket I'd receive in the area of Ft. Hunter Liggett - I
returned the rocket sled (Officially the "Little Giant Do-It-Yourself
Rocket-Sled Kit") to Acme ... even though I *really* wanted to see if I
could break the sound barrier on Jolon Road.
>From my south San Jose venue, conditions don't appear to be conducive to
any serious observing tonight. Perhaps things will change prior to
nightfall, but that "chance of showers" just reported on the radio
should linger through the evening. Saturday night appears to offer a
bit more promise.
