At least two people were killed, unfortunately, in Paso Robles where
several older structures collapsed :-(
It seems as though the quake was about 2 miles north of Hearst Castle in a
place called Burnett Canyon. Hearst Castle is apparently OK. Diablo
Canyon Nuclear Plant is apparently unscathed.
There have been dozens of aftershocks, if I am reading the USGS website
correctly. Almost a dozen above moment magnitude (M)4, and many more
above M3.
Power is out to thousands of people - thanks goodness this is California
and not Minnesota.
