I began my research a while back with the elegant
universe program. I finished the paper last night and
it has a decent amount of information from various
internet sites and books. Id be happy to pass it on
to anyone, though I cant guarantee how great it is
(which is why I was hoping I could find a string
theory buff to look over it before turning it in). Im
not sure if someone has already posted about this but
the www.superstringtheory.com website offers a nice
overview and some interesting links and interviews.

Also, more on the topic of observing, does anyone know
of any sort of groups that I could tag along with to
get some observational experience? I live in the
city, dont have a car and am not able to purchase any
serious equiptment at the time. Ive been thinking
about setting up a webcam (ive checked out some sites
on making a cheap one) but would love to make some
better astro buddies that can show me the ropes.

    Thanks for all the input!!

    amelia
