Heading to MB out of sheer nostalgia

    Yes, it has actually come to this. I am going to load up and head for
    Montebello out of sheer nostalgia for the mountaintop and the drive. I'm
    expecting the really thick cirrus to overrun us just about the time I get
    there. I'll probably stick around for an hour or two to confirm the
    hopelessness, and then head back down. I think I'll even bring a book to
    read.

    I'm trying to tell myself that this merely confirms my love of amateur
    astronomy and of the Montebello ridge - and not that I'm a thundering
    loonie...
