      It would be the same amount of darkness even if we weren't having
      daylight savings time, and actually, the amount of observing time
      is even less, because Lassen is enough north of Lick to have
      notably more of a "midnight sun" effect".
      
      By the way, I think those times cited are for standard time, not
      daylight saving time. If I am right, then you'll have to wait
      another hour yet before you can observe, and also before you knock
      it off and go to bed. So you get to like daylight saving time
      even less.
      
      On the other hand, it probably won't snow. I say again, "probably".
