Submitting Astronomy Photos to TAC
What can you submit? Just about anything that has to do with astronomy.
Astrophotos are how this feature began, but now, feel free to include
photos of any of the astronomy personalities on the list, interesting
equipment, photos of people setting up, a star party photo, someone
camping by their telescope, artistic astronomy scenes, you name it... as
long as it is in good taste, we'll post it.
Here are the specifics:
- Keep your photo small - approximately 50 K-bytes in size.
- Size the photo to fit on the web-page. Perhaps download the web-page
and fit your image into it to see how it will look. We want the
astronomer and TAC's name visible, so keep the height of the image in mind
too.
- Identify the object, i.e., M22 or FPOA Star-B-Q 1999, or ....
- Include your name and either an e-mail address or web-page where
people may contact you.
- Send the image as a .jpg or .gif (no need to zip) as an attachment to
e-mail to the TAC Webmaster
- Make sure to let me know the image is for TAC's Astronomy Photo of the Day.
