Steve Gottlieb, Greg LaFlamme, and myself had a warm and 'uneventful'
night at Lake Sonoma last night. Moderate transparency, clear dark
skies, and good company. A bit of dew and a slight breeze were about
it. Seeing was good early in the evening, and went downwards from
there. By 11:30, when I called it quits, Trapezium showed 4 hard
boiled eggs sizzling away. I studied one Abell galaxy cluster (347),
continued logging clusters and associations in M-31, and was able to
pick out 4 globulars in the Fornax Dwarf Galaxy. I'll write up an OR
soon. It was a very nice midweek session, a successful attempt to get
one more observing night in before the moon gets too bright. The
weather looks good. Get out and observe!
