Title: OI - Read Me before posting
Post by: John Pierce on August 16, 2014, 10:43:34 PM
Best way to post an Observing Intent...

On to the Calendar menu above, pick Post Event (http://observers.org/index.php?action=calendar;sa=post) and then pick the date there, and set 'Post In:' to Observing Intents.  Put in the event title like '2014-09-25 - CalStar 2014 at Lake San Antonio'.

In the body you can put any links, information, or whatever about the night, then hit Post, and it will be put in the calendar as a link to the OI forum.

if someone has already posted the date and place, then use Reply To rather than creating another event.

the moderators will probably merge duplicate event threads.

when you hover over 'Calendar' ?   hmm.   maybe I need to set some permissions...   AH!  thanks, yeah, it was buried 3 deep in the admin stuff.   enabled now, try again...
