A big new sunspot AR2674 is rotating into view over the sun's eastern limb.

Just peeked with my 10x42 binos and solar screen.  Nice group of three with a fourth leading by itself.  Fun!

If you look at the SOHO magnetogram, one of the large spots in that group has a "backward" magnetic alignment.  That
increases the likelihood of a violent event (flare, e.g.) from it.  We may have some late-solar-cycle fireworks coming up.
