IC5146 (Cocoon Nebula) and B168
« on: September 20, 2017, 10:30:06 PM »
An 8.8 hr LRGB image of the Cocoon Nebula in Cygnus and Bernard B168 that is wrapped around it and trails off to the West (right) in the image.
The Cocoon reflection/emission nebula appears to have more reflection than emission in this image using the new Photometric Color Calibration in PixInsight 1.8.5.  Link with more info at:

Thanks, Stephen-
I was surprised by the extent of the reflection component in this one.
