Observing Tuesday NIght?
« on: March 27, 2017, 07:45:40 AM »
The weather forecast looks good for Tuesday night at our observing sites.  It’s New Moon on Tuesday!  The Moon sets too late for Friday and the weekend observing.  Anyone interested in getting out to observe Tuesday night?

I was thinking about doing something relatively short Tuesday night.  Depending on others' intents I might be interested in joining or I may go solo elsewhere so as not to disrupt things with an early departure.

Going to Fremont Peak after all since the latest forecast shows the RH% considerably lower.  I'll be at the FPOA observatory offering a great S. horizon view into Puppis. I want to observe and sketch three planetaries in Puppis before that constellation is no longer visible by April new Moon.

I plan to observe at Lake Sonoma/Lone Rock Parking Lot on Tuesday evening.  At least one observing buddy plans to join me.  The more the merrier, so come on out.

I'm planning to also observe on Tuesday night -- either at Lake Sonoma (if the north bay forecast improves a bit) or else I'll head south to Fremont Peak or Deep Sky Ranch.
