California Nebula NGC1499 in Perseus

Here's a recent HaLRGB image of the California Nebula (5.9hrs).

Enjoying imaging at f/4.5 with a larger FOV (2.6 x 2.1 deg) to get these larger targets than I used to.

If you are interested this is my photo using narrowband.

Narrowband is able to separate the various elements.

Looks real good, Rob, and nice write-up.  NB is really best for these emission nebula.  I'm just an LRGB person. I use Ha for these guys but they're often pretty monotone.  I do have two spare slots in my filter wheel, however, so some day.
Cheers,
Jeff
