I'm another one of those space fans who pay attention to every planetary probe, read the Cassini weekly news word for word. They're compensating for how the Galileo ship was treated. NASA funding had been minimized at the time Galileo was finishing its mission around Jupiter. Cameras were off during its final plunge. Frickin amazing. The ship flew right by Amalthea and obviously had a one-time vantage point looking toward Jupiter's cloudtops.
Good for the Cassini team to give their ship every possible regard.
