An event of great cosmic significance is approaching: the Stanford-Berkeley Big Game! Astronomy on Tap wants to celebrate and negotiate peace between rivals by featuring astronomers from both universities! Stanford and Berkeley scientists will discuss simulating the cosmic web and listening for extraterrestrial intelligence. Make sure to join us again at Black Hammer Brewing in San Francisco on Tuesday, November 1st at 8pm. We’ll also have some fun interactive trivia sessions, with sweet prizes! For updates, follow our twitter and our event on facebook!
We'll be featuring three speakers, two scientists from Berkeley and one from Stanford!
K.G. Lee (Berkeley) will tell us about his work in mapping the cosmic web.
Danny Price (Berkeley) will show us his work with the Search fo Extraterrestrial Intelligence with the Breakthrough Project.
And last but not least, Joe DeRose (Stanford) will share his work on simulations of the cosmos!
