This is a test, this is only a test.  At the conclusion of this test, this space-time continuum will be deleted.

Looks pretty good.  I especially like the emoticons.

This sort of thing REALLY is my bag!
Let me roam the deep skies and I'll be content.

John, this looks good visually. And the whole design plan looks really sane! Thanks.

The new forum looks great.   And is easy to use.

What needs to be tested?

I prefer fora vs email aliases, although something that produces feeds/digests would be good for mobile use in the field.

well, its not integrated with the http://observers.org website.  needing separate registrations is messy.

btw, I just tweaked the style a bit, didn't like the brown links, so they are blue now...   or the fade, so I added a starfield (a DSLR widefield from GSSP 2012).

A) Click the 'Notify' button at the top of a forum, and you'll get email notifications of all postings in it.

B) there's an RSS link at the bottom.

 ;)

Hi All,

Think the forum is a great idea as it allows easier interaction.

Pierce, it's been since around May Day that observers.org has been on this new blog format, and it's flown nicely. We've got plenty of traffic from a range of people. The troops have followed the change. I'm not an urTACo but have been in since December '88, was listadmin for years. I've been relieved and delighted to see how folks have responded.

Good design, John, you deserve a lot of credit. Thanks.
